The energy transition and climate changes bring tangible changes that citizens will notice in their surroundings. Whether it's higher dikes or wind turbines, these changes always spark debate in local communities with various interests at play. Using the Inwonerberaad selection tool, municipalities, national governments, and water authorities can organize public consultation based on a representation of interests. This approach brings together both the positive and negative effects of the changes, leading to greater public support and improved policy. Over 450,000 people have already been invited!
As much as 70% of the waste on the campuses of the University and University of Applied Sciences of Amsterdam is brought in by students and staff from home, such as lunch packaging. In Amsterdam's ambition to become the most circular university in the Netherlands, waste reduction was a crucial first step to make the problem manageable. Together with students from the HvA, we developed an app that, through fun challenges and friendly competitions, helps students and staff reduce their waste. We used many gamification techniques in the app to make it more engaging.
Myne is a company specializing in the circular recycling of non-ferrous metals. For Myne, we developed a convenient app that allows metal traders to access current prices for their products and set price alerts. Additionally, the app provides 24/7 insight into open contracts, deliveries, and invoices. This way, we contribute to better reuse and reduced residual waste.
