App that lets people claim their deposit refund in a digital wallet
The Dutch government aims to collect 90% of the deposit on small cans and bottles. Valerie van Zuijlen, founder of Statieheld, sets the bar higher: "On to 100%!" Her machine — no bigger than a waste bin — takes in small cans and bottles and either pays out or donates to charity. Now that Statieheld is growing fast, stable and scalable software is essential to a user experience that can keep up with that growth.
Together with the Statieheld team, we built software that helps them win the market. Not just the user app, but also the fleet management dashboard and the integration with the machines.
To depend less on a payment provider, we built our own app with a wallet. Users choose for themselves whether to cash out or donate, and collect rewards for fun campaigns along the way.
One central overview of every Statieheld machine, including status, management and analytics. Machine faults are visible immediately and we can ship over-the-air updates.
Together with Statieheld's hardware team, we developed and stabilized the code running on the machine. Since the update, reliability is up, downtime is down, and we can monitor and update without an engineer having to come out.
Our company is growing fast and thanks to the team at Dutch Coding Company we have our code back under control. Great collaboration!
